Building a Better Community

for Newcomers,

TOGETHER

What We Do

The Quinte Local Immigration Partnership (QLIP) is a collaborative initiative composed of regional employers, non-profit organizations, Municipal, Provincial and Federal governments, educational institutions, health care and legal services providers that have come together to:

  • Enhance the region's image as a welcoming community for newcomers.
  • Foster an environment where the education, skills and experience of newcomers are fully employed to make the community economically and socially stronger.
  • Support employers in their efforts to attract, hire and retain newcomers as strategic members of their workforce.

Land Acknowledgement

We recognize that our land acknowledgement is a first step towards reconciliation with indigenous peoples. Quinte Local Immigration Partnership is grateful to offer our services on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples. The area we work in is also adjacent to the Mohawk community of Tyendinaga and we extend our work into the unceded territory of the Algonquins of Ontario, the Kijicho Manito Madaouskarini Algonquin First Nation.
