What is the Quinte Local Immigration Partnership?


The Quinte Local Immigration Partnership (QLIP) is one of 60 LIP's across Ontario designed to provide a collaborative framework to facilitate the development and implementation of sustainable solutions for the successful integration of newcomers to Ontario that are local and regional in scope.This Partnership meets regularly to examine services currently available and considers how the delivery could be enhanced, modified, or expanded to facilitate equitable access to services and to promote the long-term settlement and integration of immigrant newcomers into the greater Quinte area.

Quinte Local Immigration Partnership Objectives (QLIP)?


  • To improve access to and coordination of immigrant integration services (Education, Health, Language training, Employment, settlement and labour market integration).
  • To improve labour market outcomes for immigrants. This may include initiatives such as engagement of local employers, mentorship initiatives, coordination of local employment services and non-paid internships.
  • To strengthened local awareness and capacity to successfully integrate immigrants.

Project Lead for Quinte Local Immigration Partnership (QLIP)


Quinte Immigration Services (QUIS) has been serving the Quinte Region and it's community since 1986 and was awarded funding to initiate the QLIP program then Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and continue by the now Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
